Stunning walk with a tough start following little-used - but lovely - paths. Almost vertical ascent at first for about half an hour as we climbed up from Ratice.

We got to Ratice on the free tourist bus then walked through the pretty village with houses in pastel shades. Then our steep climb along tracks and across meadows which were so hot that we took our own detour through the woods. |

One we reached the main path we followed the contours to Kranjska Gora on the high route.
